Think you are at the top of your golf game? Then you may want to test it at the Starfire Golf Club as the course features three distinct courses, each of which providing unique and difficult challenges.
With 27 holes surrounded by pine, cottonwood and eucalyptus the Starfire Golf Club has got to be considered one of the most scenic courses in Scottsdale. The course is divided into three nine hole courses. The King nine was originally designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 1988. Palmer also took one the challenge of redesigning the Squire and Hawk courses making them a bit more complicated by adding in various bunkers and water hazards.
Like most courses, each course has its own signature hole. The King nine measures 3,253 yards and features a par three 205 yard hole number 8. The course is surrounded by water and has a variety of bunkers that are just waiting to suck your ball into the danger zone. The ninth hole on the Hawk course measures 339 yards and forces golfers to use a combination of power and accuracy if they want to make the par 4. At 175 yards you may think you have gotten off easy at hole number 5 at the Squire course, but you would be oh so wrong. At first glance the hole seems fairly simple, but it can actually be quite tricky as various water hazards, bunkers on the left and mounds on the right all posing significant challenges to accomplishing a par three.
For those that get tired of playing the same course over and over again or for those that think they have mastered their present course, the Starfire Golf Club has just the thing to take your game to the next level.
